From the moment I met Gabe I was struck by his unusual warmth, compassion and sincerity. I remember, I had just moved to New York and had mentioned to him in one of our phone conversations that I was planning on possibly getting a television. A few hours later, he was at my door with a television he said he was not using.

On many different occasions, he went out of his way to make me feel at home and comfortable in a city that was not mine. It is not so much what he did that amazed me, it was the way he did it. His true kindness and dedication to good deeds were done with incredible passion and enthusiasm. They were done with a sincerity that is left to be desired. Thinking of Gabe always did, and still does warm my heart.

I can truly say that he was one of the most special people I have ever met, and was an inspiration to me. A man so genuine and sincere; a true giver in every sense of the word. A sensitive and loving person, Gabe was a beautiful person. I miss him dearly.
